I should say my nephew loves it. I purchased this book for his birthday. He started reading the series at school and decided he would like to have them for his very own. I originally purchased 2 and he has already asked for more. I would say that is a pretty good recommendation. He is 8 years old.

Quick read, good references,

I'm a stay at home mom and previously a pre school teacher and I decided to homeschool my three girls 4 and under. I was looking for a book with ideas and positive experiences and this book has it. I wish there were more tailoring towards specific activities but the general concepts the author gives are great non the least. This furthers my wants to homeschool and I was happy to see she shares my views on socializing, pure coincidence but it still made me happy. I think many parents who question how a homeschool child will be socially acclimated without being in a public classroom doesn't remember being in a public school where there are few opportunities for children to socialize, typically teachers are instructing and noise in a large classroom is kept down so children can focus. My children get plenty of social interaction from soccer, dance and Sunday school.

Just a short little manuscript that doesn't really yield any real "stress busters". The author has several grammar mistakes and uses the 's incorrectly many times. Unfortunately not worth the purchase for me.

this was the perfect support I needed...

I have read many books and done much other research on blogs and websites about homeschooling and I truly feel like this was probably the best book I have read that gives real ideas and how to homeschool. I think the "not knowing if your are teaching your children all they need" is probably the greatest stressor of homeschooling and this book helped take that stress away by providing real-life reminders of struggles you probably will face but that its part of the process and wonderful coping strategies and ideas. Most importantly she reminds you that learning should be fun for parents and children and that is key for even daily success in your home. Although a short read, I hope here is more wisdom in homeschooling coming from Ms. Wallace. I would buy...

A good book made bad with horrible DRM restrictions.

Watch Out!

The book uses some strange 3rd party PDF encryption to protect the book. I'm fine with that. However, I could not get Acrobat to open the book under Windows 7.

Installing the book on an old Windows XP machine worked. However, now I want to install MY Book (can you hear me Industrial Press Reference Library? - this is "MY" book) on my new Windows 8 laptop. The reason I cannot is because MY order ID has already been used (when I installed it on an old machine). So, I guess, I can only install this once!!! Crazy. This must not be true. So I just called customer support but it's Friday afternoon and they close at 4 for the weekend! Nice. So I gotta wait until Monday so that I can ask pretty please, can I please install MY book on a second machine.

If I had only known this book was so crippled with DRM (digital-rights-management) I would not have bought it.

Excellent advanced book on CNC Programming topics

This handbook by Smid on the subject of CNC programming tackles the subject from a different angle than his bestselling "CNC Programming Handbook". That book is a more basic one aimed at beginners. This book is more advanced and contains several programming subjects that are very difficult to find either in other books or on the web. Even where there is overlap with the author's "CNC Programming Guide", this book provides much more depth of coverage on various subjects than that book does. As is standard with this author, this book includes many clear detailed drawings that greatly assist in visualizing the procedures covered. Whenever applicable, a complete programming example is provided. Equations and all tools used in each example are boxed and clearly labeled. If you are learning CNC programming, or are well versed in the subject this book should be on your shelf as a tutorial or as a reference item. In fact I have purchased other books by the same author and they all have content that I have found very useful. I refer to them frequently.
Easy to follow, full of detail and easy to use as a quick reference book.

Covenant Eschatology Must Read

I am 74 years old and have studied the Bible the most of my life and have preached and taught in many countries. And I must say this man is one of the best authorities on Bible eschatology that I have ever read. I wish I had had this information while I was a young man. His books are a Must Read for anyone who wants to study the Bible. I want to thank him for making them available on Kindle. CWE

We will have the truth keep your futurist delusions.

Finally, a contemporary book that tells the truth about bible eschatology. Christianity has bought the dispensationalism futurism delusion for far too long. It is no wonder that young people are turning toward atheism or agnosticism in droves. Jesus has either finished his work here on earth and is waiting for us to realize it or CS Lewis was correct, Christians have a dilemma. Hold on to false traditions and doctrines that keep the powerful in power or tell the truth, Jesus and the apostles were correct he came either literally or figuratively in the first century AD as he promised in Matthew chapters 23 - 24 . They knew it in the mid to late 1800's, but decided to cover it up. CI Schofield and others produced the great lie,and we bought it. But not this generation, it will find the truth or bring about the new religion of atheism or ancient aliens. Lol

Very thoughtful

Mr. Preston lays out the most compelling argument for the 70 AD date for the end of the age. No more do you have to fall for the end of the world hype pushed by almost al pop religion televangelicals. The END has come and it was glorious. The new age is present and it is more glorious. There is no need to fear the gloom and doom of future cataclysmic destruction. You can enjoy your adoption as a son of God and His Kingdom now. Rein and rule with Him now. Walk and talk with Him now in the cool of the evening. We are restored to His presence now.

Liliane Frey-Rohn, one of C. G Jung's closest collaborators, received her Ph.D. from the University of Zurich and opened her analytical practice in that same city more than fifty years ago. Her pioneer work, "From Freud to Jung", is used as a basic text by analysts-in-training around the world. Today, at age 86, Dr. Frey maintains an analytical practice in Zurich while continuing her active role as a major contributor to current theory and a trainer of new analysts.

Best Bio on Nietzsche

I've read Kaufman's and Heidegger's not Salome's early experiential account, yes to some of Jasper's bio and this one by Liliane Frey-Rohn stands out as favorite. It's not Kaufman's philosophical approach, nor Jaspers, nor is it Heidegger's 'own' work, but this time a psychological approach.

The book presents Nietzsche in historical and chronological order, from his first book to his last and the various letters, dithyrambs, poems in between and then relates his ideas to his psychological - mental - perceptions, condition and views. The author continually is piecing the ideas with his nature, history and circumstances and ultimately, his last 11 years of insanity and that which led up to it.

The book contains the philosophical perceptions on Nietzsche's ideas and state of mind relations, but not in an overwhelming analysis, nor does it go on philosophical tangents of explanatory notes that detract from the overall picture, the whole, as many others do

So here is a book not only on the philosophy of Nietzsche in a chronological order, but it's coming from the mind of a close collaborator of Carl Jung and written in Jungian analysis. I can't think of a better book to be introduced to Nietzsche. Of course to go into depth to fully comprehend all of Nietzsche's thoughts, you must read him for that, but for a summary of his thoughts and meanings this is a great book.

Not difficult reading for such a complex subject. I read Nietzsche in school and always felt empty with out understanding .
Now that I am old and out of my mind all of it makes more sense. I was left thinking that Nietzsche and the Dalai Lama have some ideas in common> all events reoccur and continue...............

Gold for those with PD and health professionals!

Even a casual glance at the contents page will tell any reader that this book is gold for anyone with PD, or a health professional involved in the management of PD. It is perfect for the 21st century individual, who is busy with life, doesn't have time to read a long book and needs excellent and meaningful information that is easy to find and immediately put into practice.

It starts off with understanding PD in simple layperson's terms. Then looks at how to maintain energy, promote regular bowel function, incontinence, gives tips on taking drugs more effectively, discusses PD drugs and their effects, healthy eating tips, dealing with weight problems, dental care, addresses chewing or swallowing problems as well as speech and voice projection issues, improving sleep, gives tips for intimacy, suggests ways to improve muscles and movement and hand flexibility as well as feet and walking, covers the many considerations of stress in PD...and the list goes on...travel tips, recipes, what to discuss with your doctor...!

It is so well written and utterly packed full of easy-to-understand information it is hard to believe it's less than 200 pages long (the book version of the TARDIS!). This book is very beneficial for those interested in how to manage PD for so many reasons:

Essential for Anyone with Parkinson's Disease at Any Stage!

This book is essential for anyone with Parkinson's Disease. It provides "Tips" on the many aspects that an individual with Parkinson's Disease faces. There are even humorous illustrations to balance out the serious matter addressed. The book includes areas that some doctors may not address like the importance of the timing of taking L-dopa administration in relation to food (protein competes with L-dopa transport across the blood brain barrier). The "Tips" however are NOT just from a nutritional perspective but covers personal, physiological, and psychological areas amongst others. This book is not a doctor replacement, since medical issues should be individually addressed, and notably "Top Tips" encourages Parkinson's people to be proactive and speak with their physician(s), which is a necessity for best care.
