Kian is an extremely dedicated college student. A shy young man who is determined to reach his goals through hard work and dedication . He has no time for relationships. He is much too busy trying to make his dreams come true. He rewards himself daily for his diligence by visiting his school's cafe for his favorite treat. Kian also uses the visit to break from his strict self induced restrictions by admiring the sexy barista who makes his ice cream floats.
Hudson is perceived as a bad boy by all who sees him. At first glance, people can't help but to notice his multiple tattoos. The intricate artwork decorates almost every surface of visible skin. Then there are the well worn jeans, the band t-shirts, the leather wrist cuffs, and of course, the leather jacket paired with his signature steel toe boots. Those who don't know him, also had no idea about the sharp intelligence behind the rough exterior. They also don't know about his determination to make a certain shy little cutie his own before someone else can.

Pure Saccharine
By Menkaure
Sickly-sweet. The sugar is poured on so thickly here it's enough to make one retch. The two principle characters have the personality of 8 yr old girls, and pretty much think and communicate like little girls. Seriously, the words "cute, cutie, little cutie" appear on every single page (FYI: in the real world, gay men use the word "cute" in the same way straight men say "she has a pleasing personality"---as in, not enough alcohol). The MC calls himself a "scared bunny." Bunny!?! Just ick. Once you scrape off all the sugar glaze, there's no meat to this story. What little dramatic tension there is, unfolds in the first five pages.... and then followed by a lot of sickly filler and eye-rolling dialogue that no adult in their right mind would ever think of saying. I know the intended audience is probably female, but seriously, I can't imagine even women like cotton candy this fluffed.

Cute, wouldn't read twice
By LobsterPhone
Pretty cute, pretty predictable...good for a short interlude that doesn't require concentration or emotional engagement. Kian is the human boy equivalent of a kitten and that's about the extent of his characterisation.

and I did like it overall
By A. Jackson
First things first, the story is cute, and I did like it overall. I debated leaving a review for that reason. But...it felt really purple to me and the editing errors pulled me out of the book more than once, which I didn't like for such a short book. There was a double adjective for everything, Adonis was lower-cased, tenses flipped from past to present and back again within the same paragraph. Oh, and the phrases cute, cutie (and little cutie), and cutest did not need to be used 18 times in such a short book. It was enough to prevent me from thoroughly enjoying an otherwise enjoyable read.
